It's been so popular that we have decided to continue our 10 for 10 deal indefinitely. Bring in 10 cans of non-perishable food goods for the Clintonville Community Resource Center (our local food bank) and we will give you 10% off you product purchase. An offer never to be expired.
The first class of our Participation Cooking Class Series.
8 time American Royal Champion and member of the Three Little Pigs BBQ Team, Chris Marks was on hand to dole out the expertise.
We had a great showing of people who worked hands-on with Chris, prepping and cooking their own rack of baby back ribs.
Chris also prepped and slow cooked spare ribs and spatchcock chicken for a lunch filled with good food and great advice. Everyone went home with their own rack and the confidence to BBQ ribs and chicken.
This year was the first time we had featured guests teaching the classes. We thought some fresh blood at the helm would spark curiosity, and boy were we right!
Executive Chef Rich Flagg, Rivage Atlantique, started us off in June with his Low Country inspired cuisine.
Executive Chef Matt Goings, Mitchell's Steakhouse, followed in July bringing his versions of some old Korean BBQ classics.
The Buckeye Barbeque Qlub finished off the summer with some innovative recipes in August.
Thanks to all those in attendance for helping us make 2011 the best grill class season yet. See you next year!
Our first annual BBB 2011 exceeded all of our expectations for good food, fun and friends.
This Pros vs. Joes style competition pitted restaurant elites against backyard grillers in a winner-take-all cookoff of magnanimous proportions.
Congrats to Sean Stauffer, Justin Cavinee and Tom Watson, the official 1st through 3rd place holders of 2011.
Sean won tickets to the Ohio State/Colorado game the following weekend thanks to 97.1 The Fan.
We hope to see all our competitors from the first year back and some fresh faces in the 2012 battle.

How do you cap off a great season of Grill Cooking Classes? With the ultimate Pros vs. Joes battle for supremacy!
This years third annual Buckeye Barbeque Battle is big, back and about to attack with a collection of last year's competitors and this years newcomers. The scheduled date is August 24th, a Saturday. I can't think of a better way to cap off a long lazy Summer and usher in a new season of Buckeye football.
If your looking to compete, contact Rob at 614-261-0824 or email rob@specialtygashouse.com. Better yet, sign up to receive notifications via email through our monthly newsletter by filling out the information box above. As always, we DO NOT share your information with anyone! It's just the right thing to do.
Even if you don't plan on competing you should join us for a day of food, music, football and fun. Check back often for updates and changes to the dates and times. Can't wait to see you there!
Looks like our perfect record stands. Despite the threat of rain, our 3rd Grill Cooking Class went off without a hitch.
Chef Ed Kowalski from DNC, the company that provides food services for Nationwide Arena, came and wowed us all with great display of just how much fun we can have cooking on a grill.
Out of all the fantastic dishes he showed how to cook, let's face it, Bacon-Wrapped Asparagus would've had us eating veggies as kids.
Thanks to all who came out. To Chef Ed and those who were kind enough to help him out, our sincerest gratitude.
